Hussong's Añejo Tequila

Hussong’s Añejo is a superior sipping tequila. Aged in whiskey barrels for at least 15 months, this 100% agave tequila is gold in color with a smooth and balanced taste. Refined and complex, the palate features notes of caramel and vanilla, a hint of aromatic spice, and a toasted oak finish.

Agave:

Our agaves are 100% Blue Weber, harvested at a minimum age of 5 years, from both the lowlands and highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.

Aroma:

Caramel, brown sugar, molasses, chocolate-mocha, vanilla, honey, candied apple, baked red apple, sweet potato, sweet agave, cinnamon, smoky, oak, and wood barrel.

Cooking:

Our unique cooking method is to combine the old traditional way of cooking agaves in brick ovens and our stainless steel autoclaves for 32-36 hours.

Palate:

Caramel, toffee, molasses, chocolate, unsweetened powdered chocolate, vanilla, honey, agave, dried fruit, orange peel, floral, herbs, licorice, clove, nutmeg, baking spices, white pepper, and oak.

Aged:

12 to 14 months in American White Oak Barrels

Finish:

Chocolate, baked red apple, apple pie, orange blossom honey, citrus, almond, cinnamon, cloves, spicy, black pepper, char, oak, silky, super smooth, and elegant.
